چکیده

A prohibitive barrier faced by elliptic curve users is the difficulty of computing the curves’ cardinalities. Despite recent theoretical breakthroughs, point counting still remains very cumbersome and intensively time consuming. In this paper we show that point counting can be avoided at the cost of a protocol slow-down. This slow-down factor is quite important (typically ∼= 500) but proves that the existence of secure elliptic-curve signatures is not necessarily conditioned by point counting.

Energy-Architecture Tuning for ECC-Based RFID Tags

The implementation of Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) on small microcontrollers is challenging. Past research has therefore emphasized performance optimization: pick a target architecture, and minimize the cycle count and footprint of the ECC software. This paper addresses a different aspect of resource-constrained ECC implementation: given the application profile, identify the most suitable ...

Inflammatory marker levels after hybrid treatment of selected congenital heart disease in children.

BACKGROUND Hybrid treatment of congenital heart disease is indicated in a selected group of borderline patients who do not have clear indications for either surgery or interventional treatment. Hybrid procedures take the best from cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology to reduce patient risk and trauma. Hybrid closure of ventricular septal defect (VSD) and atrial septal defect (ASD) with...

بررسی تأثیر عوامل محیطی و وجود پوسیدگی زودرس دوران کودکی روی شمارش استرپتوکوک موتانس بزاق کودکان 3-5 ساله شهر یزد

Introduction: Early childhood caries (ECC) is one of the most common problems in children worldwide which is seen in 3-45% preschool children population. Bacterial factor is one of the main four components (time, microorganism, diet, host) to create caries. Streptococcus mutans is one of the most important cariogenic microorganisms. The objective of this study is evaluating Streptococcus mutans...

High Stakes Require More Than Just Talk: What to Do About Corruption in Health Systems; Comment on “We Need to Talk About Corruption in Health Systems”

Reluctance to talk about corruption is an important barrier to action. Yet the stakes of not addressing corruption in the health sector are higher than ever. Corruption includes wrongdoing by individuals, but it is also a problem of weak institutions captured by political interests, and underfunded, unreliable administrative systems and healthcare delivery models. We ur...

Plasma macrophage colony-stimulating factor levels during cardiopulmonary bypass with extracorporeal circulation

Leukocytosis and thrombocytopenia occur during cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) with extracorporeal circulation (ECC). Elevated circulating concentrations of macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) are reported during thrombocytopenia and leukopenia of different origins. We have assessed M-CSF concentrations in 40 patients undergoing CPB with ECC. Plasma M-CSF concentrations were stable during...
